Your Scrapbooking Tips

Can anyone give me some good tips on scrapbooking? My siblings and I are planning to make a Family Scrapbook for our parents and none of us has ever made one before. We have the ideas, but we haven't done the first thing because we don't know what to do. Can any experienced scrappers help us? Appreciate the help.

I'm interested in scrapbooking, it seems like a lot of fun!! I wanted to make a few pages for my puppy but i wasn't sure how I should do it. I don't want to do digital, but I was wondering what do you do when you want to write a sentance or two about what's going on in the pictures? I definitely don't have the nicest handwriting and it would come out terrible so what do you do? It also seems like all the paper and little attatchements can start to add up, do you reccomend any websites that have sales or anything? Any tips for beginners or whatever would be appreciated, thanks!

I want to create a scrapbook of designs, colours, ideas and materials that i like to compliment my new home. I want to know if someone has done it, and what they did to make it easy and efficient. what are some tips to create a design story board. I am collecting samples of tiles, paints, fabrics, carpets and things like that, but im not sure how to put them together in a design folder. I heard you should use white cardboard as a background or base when setting them out, so you can see what compliments each other. Has anyone got any good tips?

My friend is moving next week and I want to make her a scrapbook of all the things we've done together. I went shopping yesterday and spent over $100, so my mom's not giving me any more money. I have craft glue, tape, glitter, beads, construction paper, pictures, and everything else, but I don't have a scrapbook. I have been scrapbooking for a while, but I am kind of running out of ideas. Can someone give me any ideas for pages? I did a Halloween one and I made awhite paper ghost and used it as a picture frame, and I made a Christmas one and it was a tree with every ornament as a picture - I want other ideas like that - FOR ANYTHING!!! I make a lot of different ones so i want ideas for anything really and then I'll see what to do with it. Thanks ahead of time for the help! I was just in Michaels the other day and I bought a bunch of those stickers - and the pail and such is actually a really good idea cause I just went to Key West and I'm working on a page for it and that would fit perfectly in it... thank you!!!! Hello fellow scrapbookers-thanks for looking at my question! My dad wants to buy my mom the best gift for her birthday and he is running out of time. He is trying to see if there is something like a scrapbook journaling machine... Not so much a labeler but something that she can type a paragraph on it and it prints with the same machine. Any ideas? THANK YOU!! That is the whole point, she wants to get away from the computer. Often she go's camping when she scrapbooks. She only has a desktop computer, so is unable to take that with her. Even more so with scrap nights. I personally can't live without computers but she isn't the biggest fan. Any other ideas? I saw something on a scrapbooking show that looks like what she needs BUT I haven't been able to find out what it is called yet. Thanks. She already has a cricut but that isn't good for writing a paragraph or 2 in a scrapbook. She can use the computer, she just needs something smaller, portable and would rather have something that is not a regular computer. Thanks for the input.

I have an old sketch book that I found and wanted to use it to make a Journaling Scrapbook, you know journal my thoughts, special photos, feelings day to day, etc... I havent been very consistent with dates and days and I am wondering is this ok to mix around the days and pages? i.e. one page will be from 11-10-08 and the next 02-04-09 and jump to 12-33-08 and then 05/31/06. its all random. Plus now Im preggers and wanted to scrap a moments about my pregnancy, can I add to my Journal or should I create a seperate Pregger Book for my baby to look back on?? ....Help!? .....

I recently bought vellum 'saying' stacks at Michaels. I wanted to use them for scrapbooking but I don't know how too transfer them on my scrapbooking paper. Should I rub them on? I already tried rubbing them on with a ruler, this did not work out... I asked my friends who also do scrapbooking but they didn't know either. So please help me out! Greetz, Xloortje!

I order scrapbooking items online frequently and find that prices for the same item vary from one store to the next. I buy on ebay, also, but have found that many times ebay prices go higher than buying from an online site. Have you found a good scrapbooking site for general scrap supplies that has good prices? Shipping prices should be low, too.

Just for fun? Besides smilebox. You don't really make your own scrapbook. I use to go to a scrapbooking site online to build scrapbooks, and it was for free. Anybody know of a site like this? you don't build your own scrapbooks on smilebox* I don't want sites that will link me to sites where i can get scrapbook supplies, i want a site where i can make my own scrapbook online.

I am doing some scrapbooking (but not alot). I was told I should get a Cricut but they are expensive. I see they have a portable one and that they also have a machine called the Slice. Are any of these worth the price or is there something else?

Our basement flooded last night and I had my cricut on the bottom shelf so it was in about an inch of water... The electric cord / power adapter still has water in it (I can hear it moving) so I don't even want to try and plug that in yet... And the cartridge got wet also. What are the chances it will still work / is there anyting I can do to try n dry it out faster?

i have search online for scrapbook layouts and i have been on many webistes, but none of them are like the layouts you see in those scrapbook magazines. i have plenty of those scrapbook magazines too but if your a scrapbooker you always want more or different layouts. so if you could please help me that would be great. :D

I had a beautiful Autumn Wedding just last month and I can't find any scrapbook albums that incorporate both! I really can't even find any Autumn albums at all. There are plenty of wedding albums but there aren't any that go with my wedding at all! Please Help!
