Scrapbook_Looking for-Personal Journaling machine? Hello fellow scrapbookers-thanks for looking at my question! My dad wants to buy my mom the best gift for her birthday and he is running out of time. He is trying to see if there is something like a scrapbook journaling machine... Not so much a labeler but something that she can type a paragraph on it and it prints with the same machine. Any ideas? THANK YOU!! That is the whole point, she wants to get away from the computer. Often she go's camping when she scrapbooks. She only has a desktop computer, so is unable to take that with her. Even more so with scrap nights. I personally can't live without computers but she isn't the biggest fan. Any other ideas? I saw something on a scrapbooking show that looks like what she needs BUT I haven't been able to find out what it is called yet. Thanks. She already has a cricut but that isn't good for writing a paragraph or 2 in a scrapbook. She can use the computer, she just needs something smaller, portable and would rather have something that is not a regular computer. Thanks for the input.
Journaling Scrapbook Question....? I have an old sketch book that I found and wanted to use it to make a Journaling Scrapbook, you know journal my thoughts, special photos, feelings day to day, etc... I havent been very consistent with dates and days and I am wondering is this ok to mix around the days and pages? i.e. one page will be from 11-10-08 and the next 02-04-09 and jump to 12-33-08 and then 05/31/06. its all random. Plus now Im preggers and wanted to scrap a moments about my pregnancy, can I add to my Journal or should I create a seperate Pregger Book for my baby to look back on?? ....Help!? .....

What kind of ready-made scrapbook products would you be interested in buying? A friend of mine and I have been doing some research on things we could do at home to make a little extra money. We've decided to go with scrapbooking. If you wanted your pictures arranged in a beautiful scrapbook but didn't have time to work on something like that yourself, what kind of products would you be interested in buying? Our ideas so far have been 1) to accept custom orders, where customers would send in 3-4 pictures with information for each 2 page spread, and my friend and I would arrange everything with backgrounds, mats, embellishments, journaling... 2) to create ready made scrapbook pages. The backgrounds, photo mats, and embellishments would be in place, and the customer would chose which layouts he/she wanted to purchase, then add their own pictures and journaling. I am very interested to hear any opinions, ideas, or advice! Thanks in advance!
Making Journaling pieces for my scrapbooks? I have all this spare paper from one of those one-pound scrap packs that I want to use to make journaling pieces as well as a bunch of nice patterned paper in varying sizes and colors. Any ideas and advice is helpful and welcome. I'm trying to reduce my clutter and save money instead of buying the pre-made stuff.
I want to make a scrapbook for my husband who is leaving soon, can I do the journaling in sticky notes? He is going overseas soon to Japan with the US Navy for over 6 months. I want to make something that's personal, between us... not dirty really, just something that I don't know that I want my kids seeing in the future, because... I guess, it's personal. I don't want them laughing at it when they're 10 :-) I guess it would be ok for to them to see it after we're dead though.. I just want the scrapbook to recall some of our most beloved moments in photographs, and be more about us than the embellishments. But, Like I said, to keep it personal, would it be weird to put my "love letter" so to speak on a type of paper that could be removed once we have kids? I want this to be more of a personal letter to him than a scrapbook really, the pictures are just to remind him of all of our wonderful memories while he's gone. Should I just keep this private like a diary until we're ready to see our children choose? Should I let him decide on the privacy level? Or do you think the idea of writing a love letter for a deployed spouse with pictures is entirely corny and he will think so, and I should just give it up? ;-) Lol...
where do you put the Tags on a scrapbook page? are they supposed to be attached to something, like a ribbon? or are they just floating there? what do you write on the tags? like captions or journaling?
What's a good scrapbook kit-of-the-month club? I used to belong to www.scrapjammies.com, and while I like their style, I like to put more pics and journaling on pages than they do. What other kit-of-the-month clubs are there, especially ones that emphasize more pics and journaling?

Scrapbook Fonts? I have a large scrapbook but my printer can't accomodate its large pages. I wanted to do some journaling on my computer (because I hate my handwriting) and print it out, but because I can't print directly on the scrapbook paper, I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas?

How do you add pull-out or flip elements to a scrapbook page? I have scrapbook magazines and books that all show great ideas for pull-out tags in a pocket, or a flip-open photo with the journaling behind it. These interactive elements look so fun, but I've been afraid to try them because I slip the completed page into a sheet protector, and for anyone to see those added elements, they would have to pull the page out again. That seems impractical. The books all start by saying you should put your complete pages in sheet protectors, in the "getting started" sections. Then they never say how these nifty extras are accessible to those who read the scrapbooks! Have you used interactive elements in your scrapbooks? How do you incorporate them in the book?? Do you put them in page protectors? Do you modify the protector? HELP!!
Questions about Journaling? I wanted to ask everyone, how do you use your journal? What do you write or put in your journal. I would like to buy a nice journal and keep my thoughts in it, but i would like to know what all its used for? Do you share your journal with your friends/family? Do you hide your journal? If so, Where? Do you use your journal as a personal scrapbook? Do you keep poetry in your Journal? What is the purpose of keeping Journal? Answering any of these questions would help me lots. Thanks.
Are sharpies safe to use in scrapbooks? I know that sharpies are not safe to use on photographs but I was wondering if they are safe to use for journaling or if I should go get new markers. Thanks.

Scrap-booking question? I love to do scrapbooking. the problem, I have is the new 3D pages. When I first started they said you should use plastic acid free sleeves to cover your pages, The new 3D pages load the pages up with tags, envelopes, journaling hidden behind pictures, memorbilia. You need access to these items. So you can't put them into a sleeve. How do you insert them into your scrapbook. I have punched holes in them like notebook paper, but they do not lay correctly, They are so heavy they tear the punched holes even with the reinforcements.How do I put these into my albums , all the magazines and T.V. show is how to do 3D layouts , but not how to insert them into your book. stoohlio not quite sure about 2nd advice. what aree page turners? and how do you attch a second sleeve? memphis qt: I can not adhere to the rule of just using what you buy in a store. . I am doing heritage albums also. I made a page with my mothers picture and used an old pin that she wore. In order to put the pin in( thickness) I used core board. 2 pcs back to back, then I put on the decorative paper. Then the pictures and memorabilia. by this time page was quite thick and heavy. also I have use pop-ups and fan folded items and Iittle bags of items that need to be taken out and looked at.
Scrapbookers -- I need a title...? Everyone thinks that my baby who travels around with me in a suggli ( a thing that securly hold her body in this bag like thing that hooks to a harness that wear) is a doll! Now, why would a grown woman carry a doll around in that manner! Anyway, it is so funny and happens so often that it needs a scrapbook page! I want to title it something like "As Cute As a Doll" or something like that but can't come up with something great... I am going to have pictures of us with the snuggli thing, then doll paper or sticker or something, a picture of an actual doll (and probably how I would actually carry it around), and then of course journaling. Any ideas for the title?? LOL No, not that kind of travel... I'm talking the grocery store or the farmers' market.
I'm attempting to start a small scrapbooking business from my home and I'm looking for some feedback. ? I have found that many people enjoy having scrapbooks of their weddings, babies, vacations, or anything else that contains fond memories for them. However, many individuals do not have the time or the money to begin this expensive and time consuming activity. So, I've been thinking of beginning a small business in which I would make scrapbooks for these individuals. Please answer of each question below to help me get started! Thank you for your help. 1. What type of scrapbook would you be interested in having made? None, Digital, Traditional or both Digital and Traditional? 2. How much would you pay for a custom-made 8x8 digital album? 12x12 digital album? 8x8 traditional album? 12x12 traditional album? (Assume all books have 20 2 page spreads) 3. How quickly would you like to receive your completed album? 4. Would you prefer to have the journaling (stories to go along with the pictures) done for you or to have a spot left where you could journal yourself? 5. Would you prefer the convenience of having me take care of copying original photos and printing digital photos for you or to print/copy your photos yourself? 6. Would you be willing to meet for a 20-30 minute consultation so that I can understand your style preference and gain stories for journalling or would you rather do everything online? 7. Making scrapbook for best friend? I'm making my first ever scrapbook for my friend and I've run into a little problem/question.. When journaling do I put the information in first, second, or third person point of view? For instance one of my journaling is going to be something like: Bre smoked me in the face with a gold club. Or would it be like: Bre smoked Randi in the face with a golf club or even You smoked me in the face with a golf club All help is appreciated.
