1. Try decorating it with things that represent her life add family photos and things ur mom and ur family like.=3
2. You could do a page of when each of her kid(s) were born. A wedding page if shes married. Birthdays .Stuff like that =].
3. for one Christmas page, draw an easy outline of a Christmas tree, then cut the faces of her friends and family in circle shapes and make them the 'ornaments' on the tree. You can make it nice by adding red and green outlines on the 'bulbs' Make many smaller bulbs, or, one large on the top, then two on the next row, and three on the final row. - I have several pages like this in different albums!
4. I did one for my dad, and I had a family tree with the names of all his great great great grandparents, a page of his parents, lots of moments that we have had (bdays, graduation, etc), best friends...stuff like that. Use stuff that is close to her heart, and she will love it no matter what you put in it
5. I would make a wall art. You can get 12 by 12 frames at local craft store. Scrapbook a page or two as you wish and frame using 12 by 12 frame. If you buy wood frame that is not finish you can decopauge the frame too :) It is something that she can cherish years to come and she can hang it up.
Another great idea is a brag book. You get a smaller size book 4 by 4, and scrapbook pages, and give it to her... You can make it as little as 12 pages, and can even make a couple. You can have one themed after when you were a kid, one themes after your kids if you have any, and so on... They make great conversation pieces when sitting on the table, and when she starts showing them to her friends.
6. Are your pictures from a digital camera? Or, do you have a scanner? I have been using the new Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus program and am having a blast with it. I have scanned lots of really old pictures from my grandmother's old album (which I put in a regular CM album a couple of years ago) and I am doing a heritage album for my siblings for Christmas. The program is wonderful and easy to use. There are templates or you can create your own by inserting a blank page and putting "paper" on it (the nice thing is you don't ever use up your paper!). Then just drag and drop your pictures, text boxes, and embellishments to the page. When I'm done (and it's going quickly), I'll upload the book to the CM Photo Center and they will print it and put it in a hardcover book with stitched binding and mail it back to me. Easy and quick, and you don't have the messy table to clean off so you can have dinner!
I know they will all love the books. And I still have all the original pictures here in my CM album. Best of both worlds - traditional and digital. The books come in 7x7, 8 1/2x11 and 12x12, to meet your every need.
Do look into it. Your Mom will be really pleased. You can try out digital scrapping by downloading the free Storybook softwear from the CM website (creativememories.com). You only pay when you actually upload and order the book. The Storybook Plus softwear is new this month and costs $59.95, but is totally versatile and you don't use it up. I can't say enough good things about it.
I don't know where you live, but you are welcome to peruse my CM site (see below) and order the softwear there if you'd like.

7. Whatever is important to her; pics of her and her children, alone with each or all together, her and her spouse, her cooking dinner, or a favorite hobby. Just capture who she really is.
8. You could do one based on the Alphebet Love Song (below) and have a letter a page representing things she loves and treasures along with a tribute to her. I am not sure how old she is but I know my Mom who is 67 knows this song. Best wishes!
"A," you're adorable, "B," you're so beautiful,
"C," you're a cutie full of charms.
"D," you're a darling and "E," you're exciting
And "F," you're a feather in my arms.
"G," you look good to me, "H," you're so heavenly,
"I," you're the one I idolize.
"J," we're like Jack and Jill, "K," you're so kissable,
"L," is the lovelight in your eyes.
"M," "N," "O," "P," I could go on all day.
