Here are a couple of websites that might help you. I have bought supplies
from scrappersalley.com It is a great
website.

2. Scrapbook page kits are great for beginners...they have everything you need (except glue and pens) to complete at least a few pages for your book. Jo-Ann and Micheals has some good ones.

Just searching the web can give you lots of page ideas. I really like the gallery at scrapjazz.com too.

Most of the big craft stores like jo-ann and micheals have online ordering...plus you can use their coupons to save money! Micheals coupons usually come in the sunday paper, you can sign up on the website to get Jo-Ann's.

3. Just take it one step at a time. Decide what you want to include in your album and go from there. Be sure all the products you buy are archival safe (ie acid free and lignon free). This ensures that your pictures will not rot over time. The craft stores, both online and offline sell scrapbook safe products, but do not use anything in your album that does not have this label. That includes paper, glues, embellishments, etc.

As for the layout, the link below is a good guide for the beginning scrapbooker. There are video demonstrations of the necessary supplies and making a simple layout.

4. Visit my website we have wonderful scrapbooking pallete kits that come with everything you need in them to make the wonderful scrapbook!
Also right now we have a great special going on the when you make orders online you can get up to 4 free gifts

5. I would recommend creating a themed baby book. This means that you choose a set of papers, stickers and coordinating embellishments.

Close To My Heart has a number of how-to books for scrapbook patterns and layouts. These give you ideas based on the number of photos you have. From there, you cut your papers and assemble.
