Can you use regular printing paper for scrapbooking?
not for the actual layout... but for scraps, designs, etc?
Also... does anyone know where they sell embossing powder cheap, or cheap stamp pads?

1. i would make sure that it is acid free just to be safe. as far as the cheap stamp pads or embossing power, i would try someplace like hobby lobby.
2. yes but I prefer matte photo paper for backgrounds, borders and embellishments and glossy photo paper for photos and some pictures for the shiny look
3. For digital scrapping you can use copy paper for scrapbooking, you will be losing dimension though. It may not be acid free, so make sure it does not touch any photos, and if you are looking for it to last, then you can buy a can of spray that makes it acid free in the craft or scrapbooking store. I have found the best prices on embossing powder on eBay. It depends if you are looking for a large amount of one color or a lot of small colors. But I would compare eBay or online before I bought in a craft or scrapbooking store. Also, you can get good prices on some scrapbooking supplies at Oriental Trading, magazine or website: www.orientaltrading.com
4. I like Michael's for buying that kind of stuff. They have good sales a lot. For scraps and designs, sure use regular paper. On a limited budget, you have to skimp somewhere ;) and it sure isn't going to be your actual photos.
