Scrapbook.....?
I want to create a scrapbook of designs, colours, ideas and materials that i like to compliment my new home. I want to know if someone has done it, and what they did to make it easy and efficient. what are some tips to create a design story board. I am collecting samples of tiles, paints, fabrics, carpets and things like that, but im not sure how to put them together in a design folder. I heard you should use white cardboard as a background or base when setting them out, so you can see what compliments each other. Has anyone got any good tips?

1. so you are creating a scrapbook of stuff you want to do to your house...I would just organize the scrapbook by each room.....kitchen, bathroom, beroom, so on....or by the item...as in, paint colors you like, different couches you are thinking of getting, etc,....
I think using the white background is a good idea though...lets you get a better feel of the colors....in the scrapbook I would attach everything to white card stock.
If you are unsure of what colors to decide on, maybe do a page in the scrapbook of one color (say blue) and then another page of the scrapbook in another color....
When putting something in the scrapbook, I would make a note of where you found it, they brand name, item number, when you found it, how much it is...etc...this way you have all the info right there...
include before and after pictures and pictures of "in the making" so that you have a referance of how everything looked at that time.

This group has a ton of ideas! Would be a fun place to start they also do tons of funs stuff like:
swaps they do them on a regular basis all kinds. Card swaps, embelishments, tags it is a great group!
