Making Journaling pieces for my scrapbooks?
I have all this spare paper from one of those one-pound scrap packs that I want to use to make journaling pieces as well as a bunch of nice patterned paper in varying sizes and colors. Any ideas and advice is helpful and welcome.
I'm trying to reduce my clutter and save money instead of buying the pre-made stuff.

1. type your journaling on the computer, then run the paper through the printer....then stamp if you want. Or run through the printer just to make lines to write on.
2. If they are too small to send through a printer, I would recommend that you use a ruler to draw lines for journaling. If you do in pencil, you should be able to erase it later. (Just make sure the eraser doesn't take the dye off the paper.)
Cut the pieces out into various shapes for fun. Stars, tags, circles, squares, flowers...the possibilities are endless. If you want to use more of the paper, you can use it to mat your journaling or photos. They don't have to have just one mat. You can mat something two or three times, with different colors. I like the way matted photos look, and with a patterned paper and a solid, it can be very striking.
3. Damsel's ideas are good.
You can also use the scrap packs to mat photos, and to make tags, and if you have punches, you can punch shapes, like flowers, stars, hearts, etc.
4. If you really want to print from your computer to a piece that is too small for the printer, firstly print onto a blank sheet of paper, then secure the smaller piece of paper or cardstock exactly where the printing is and put the whole sheet through again. I use a piece of repositional double sided tape to secure and find it is easily removed. You can also use this method to print onto ribbon or twill tape. Hope this is useful.
5. YAY! I LOVE journaling! I use scrap paper and then I use a journaling stamp. I buy my stamps (unmounted) from The Angel Company... there are all different styles. I stamp the decorative (or plain) lines and then I journal!! If you want to check out some of the stamps go to www.angelarchiver.com. Good luck!!
